La Leona Waterfall is one of Guanacaste’s most beautiful natural attractions, located in the small town of Curubandé, about 20 minutes from Liberia.
This stunning deep blue waterfall is nestled between canyons, with turquoise waters that make the experience truly unique. The color of the water comes from Río Blanco and the volcanic minerals in the area.
During the adventure, you will hike through rivers, narrow canyons, caves and rocky sections with the help of a local guide, making this much more than a simple waterfall visit.
